With professional training from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), she combines financial management expertise with extensive experience in community development, social impact programmes, and sustainable project implementation.

Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Pn. Mariam is the Director of the Asnaf Community Development Unit at the Islamic Outreach ABIM Centre (IOAC). In this role, she has led numerous initiatives focused on empowering underserved communities through education, livelihood development, food security, and social inclusion.
